Brenna Brom, owner of 'It's a Whimsical Life,' is a Minnesota native living in Rochester, MN. She has been creating whimsical art since 2016 and it certainly has evolved over time. Her colorful acrylic paintings often feature playful nature-like themes and advocate for mental health and body positivity. She hopes her art brings people joy, whether that's a light sprinkle or a joyful slap to the face. Brenna also manages a local art gallery, teaches group fitness classes, run various children's programs in the community, and is a mother to a lively 3-year-old son.

Working with primarily with acrylic paint on canvas, her colorful and vibrant artwork often features playful nature-like themes and advocates for mental health and body positivity. She uses intricate black line detailing to organize these vibrant and often chaotic pieces into joyful and whimsical compositions.

While acrylic is her favorite, she has also dabbled in gouache and watercolor painting, digital art, fine line marker drawings and embroidery.

Little Thistle Brewery
Artist Glass Design
Brenna's favorite local brewery, Little Thistle Brewery, in Rochester MN, asked her to design a glass. This glass was only available for a limited time and is now up for display at the brewery. Her design depicted the brewery's name and slogan, various fruits used in their sour beers, thistle plants and hops.
Med City Marathon 2023
Featured Artist
Brenna was asked to create the 2023 Med City Marathon Race painting. She provided wonderful detail in her very iconic style, showing the marathon map, the Rochester corn tower and a beautiful array of Bluebell flowers that are in abundance during this springtime race.
